A thirty two year old man struck his sixty three year old father Charles Fierstine on the head with a flash light and also a piece of firewood on Saturday. Jesse Fierstine then used a pocketknife to cut off the pacemaker out of his father’s chest. The father was taken to the University of Iowa hospital and Clinics in Iowa city. Not much is known about the condition of Charles Fierstine as the officials refused to give any details on Sunday. Meanwhile The Delaware county sheriff’s office issued a statement saying that the accused was charged with attempted murder of his father.
